How do I configure a PENS Target to publish my course?

PENS stands for Packet Exchange Notification Service.

Instead of having to download a course package and then upload it into an LMS, PENS allows Claro to send a message to the target LMS whenever a SCORM package is exported. The LMS will automatically download and import it.

To see what it looks like in action, access this video overview from SCORM.com: http://scorm.com/pens/start-using-pens/pens-in-scorm-cloud-for-authoring-tools/

Targets are the LMS systems to be notified when a new course is exported.

You can choose a configured target when creating a SCORM course package.

To configure a PENS target:

  1. From the Application Menu, click Publish.
  2. In the PENS section, click Targets.
  3. Click New Target.
  4. Enter the name and URL and other information for the target.
  5. Click the Create button.

To view Status and History logs for PENS requests:

  1. From the Application Menu, click Publish.
  2. In the PENS section, click Logs.
